This map was created for the University Open Air summer program as part of the presentation on the Sound Map of Salsa Music in New York. The map is designed to showcase the different neighborhoods of New York City where salsa music emerged and evolved. It provides a visual guide for the audience to follow along with the presentation and gain a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural significance of salsa music in the city. The map is printed on 3 colors at the RisoLab, which adds a vibrant and artistic touch to the overall design.
We dropped a copy of the Magazine and the Map at Casa Amadeo in the Bronx.
The Sound Map of Salsa Music in New York is currently making its way around the world and has landed in Barranquilla, where it is being shared with some of the most iconic music vendors in the city.
